Supporting Our Community in Times of Tragedy

CAIS schools and the fires in Los Angeles

We stand together in the wake of recent wildfires that have deeply affected our schools and their communities. Our hearts go out to everyone impacted. In these trying times, we are reminded of the strength and resilience within our community, and the importance of supporting each other.

Affected Schools

We want to recognize all the schools and communities impacted by the Los Angeles wildfires. In many schools, most of the community were evacuated from their homes, and significant numbers have lost their homes completely. To the leaders, teachers, staff, students, and families of these institutions: your courage and perseverance inspire us all. We are here for you and will continue to stand by your side as we navigate this challenging time together.

How You Can Help

In the aftermath of the wildfires, every act of kindness makes a significant difference. We invite our community members to extend their support to the schools most affected by this disaster. Your contributions will provide essential resources, emotional support, and aid in the recovery process for those in need.

Donate to Our Most Affected Schools

Below are the donation pages for the CAIS schools most significantly impacted by the wildfires. Your support will directly contribute to their recovery efforts, helping them rebuild and provide necessary care for their students and staff.

If your CAIS school would like to be included in this list, please contact us. We are dedicated to ensuring that all affected member schools receive the support they need.

Other ways to help our wider community

Project Camp is running activities for many of our most affected schools this month, providing much-needed support and engagement for our students. Their initiatives provide a safe space for children while schools and parents work toward recovery. Your donations will enable them to continue their invaluable work, bringing relief and community to the students during this difficult time.

Private School Village is dedicated to supporting Black and Brown families in private schools.  Their Emergency Relief Fund provides gift cards and resources to families impacted by the fires.

Wildfire Relief Efforts

For those who wish to make a broader impact, here are some disaster relief organizations that are working tirelessly to support our entire community. Your contributions to these organizations will help ensure that resources are distributed where they are most needed.

Thank you for your compassion and generosity. Every donation, no matter the size, helps us move forward as a united community.
