Mission Statement

The East Bay School empowers middle-school students to cultivate their intellectual, physical, and emotional selves to become engaged, thoughtful, courageous, and justice-minded adults. The East Bay School focuses on how students learn best, engaging in a brain-based, neuroscience-driven approach optimized by a personalized program based on the needs and wants of our individual students. Our challenging, active curriculum integrates design thinking, honors neurodiversity, and centers restorative justice practices, helping students become capable and self-actualized, prepared for high school, and passionate about the world as citizens who will creatively shape it.
