About Almaden Country Day School
Almaden Country Day School is nondenominational and coed, serving 400 children in PK4 through 8th grade. Founded in 1982, ACDS follows a developmental instructional model with heterogeneous grouping and an emphasis on balance and deepening understanding rather than accelerating learning. The school's mission is to "discover the gifts in every child." Since 2018, ACDS has also offered The Learning Center (TLC), a program for academically-capable children with language-based learning challenges like dyslexia. TLC serves about 50 students in grades 1-8 who are fully integrated with their peers in all enrichment and elective classes, plus science.
